UPDATE: Police detain man for questioning in deadly hit and run

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Police have detained a man for questioning related to a hit and run incident, that occurred on Tucson's southside early Wednesday morning.

Police found the man at a home at 200 E. Adams Street. This is near Stone Avenue and Drachman Street.

Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department says homicide detectives responded to Sunland Vista and Cameron Vista, near 36th Street and South Kino Parkway around 4:30 a.m.

Police were originally responding to a call about a fight, according to Widmer. Once on scene, police discovered that someone was dead at the scene while two other people were seriously injured.

Widmer also tells 9OYS that the victims appear to have been hit by a vehicle.

The two injured victims were taken to the hospital, and one of them has died as a result of their injuries. The third victim remains in serious condition.
