Pima County Medical Examiner confirms death of Roman Barreras as homicide
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Medical Examiner's Office has released the Roman Barreras autopsy report.
As stated in the report, "In consideration of the known circumstances surrounding this death, the available medical history and the examination of the body, the cause of death for Roman Barreras is ascribed to starvation and neglect. The manner of death is homicide."

On March 18, a Pima County Grand Jury indicted both 39-year-old Raquel Barreras and 45-year-old Martin Barreras on charges of first degree murder, child abuse and the abandonment/concealment of a dead body in connection to the death of their youngest son, Roman.
It started as a disturbing discovery in the 700 block of South Idaho Street on March 4.
