Community help needed for "Operation Chill-Out"

By Ina Ronquillo. CREATED Jun 25, 2014

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - "Operation Chill-Out" has been in full effect since June 1, but The Salvation Army is still in need of summer survival resources for the homeless in our community during the hottest months of the year.

The Salvation Army has not had a favorable response to date for donations and with temperatures rising, they are once again asking for the community’s help.

The Salvation Army is asking for donations of unopened bottled water, hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, lip balm, and umbrellas to be dropped off at any Naughton’s store location or The Salvation Army Hospitality House at 1021 N. 11th Avenue.
