TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - It is not to be confused with a mere "haunted house" or a simple corn maze. Instead, Nightfall features Hollywood-style acts and horrifying, spectacular effects.
"Being a movie studio, we have our own pyrotechnics licenses," says Pete Mangolsdorf, CEO of Old Tucson. "We're able to do things here that really can't be done anywhere else."
This ghost town transforms into a truly haunted house. Nightfall includes three haunted walk-throughs and four live shows.
Some of the attractions created by Andrew Kenworthy and his team include a post-apocalyptic pyro stunt show, a Day of the Dead haunted maze and a chilling graveyard exhibit.
"We try to make it as spooky as we can," said Kenworthy.
And the haunts are not just for adults, they are family friendly freak shows.
"We have inflatable's, rock climbing walls, and we brought the train back," said Mangelsdorf.
"It's great, its a wonderful time," said Kenworthy. "It makes a wonderful memory of Halloween and it's just fun."
Nightfall opens Friday. More information can be found on its website.
