TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A warning about a new phishing tactic that preys on Netflix customers.
This new scam uses the phone and the internet to get your personal info.
Users being targeted will see a phony webpage. It looks like the "Netflix" login page, but when the user enters their account info, the scam site says the account is suspended.
It gives out a phone number, where a representative recommends downloading Netflix support software. With that software, hackers have complete access to your computer..
Sometimes they phone number also ask for credit card numbers.
Users can stumble on the fake page through e-mails or pop up ads.
