Mobile home total loss following blaze
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man self evacuated after a fire broke out in his mobile home on Tuesday afternoon.
Capt. Grant Cesarek with Rural/Metro tells KGUN9 that crews responded to reports of a residential structure fire in the 5400 block of South Masterson.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a single wide small mobile home that was engulfed in flames.
Cesarek says the occupant had evacuated the home without injury.
With several other homes in the area crews worked to contain the fire to the home of origin.
Investigators are trying to determine a cause and estimate of damage, said Cesarek.
Rural/Metro reminds the public that a house fire can be prevented by ensuring all heat sources are monitored and controlled, properly use any open flame, and never overload electrical circuits. To ensure the safety of your family, install smoke detectors in the sleeping areas of your home and practice evacuation plans.
