TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Daniel Cordova, 50, has been identified as the man killed in a hit and run collision on September 13.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that Cordova was struck and killed by a driver in the 2800 block of south Mission Road, near Mission and 36th Street. Widmer says the driver fled the scene.
Cordova later died at a nearby, according to Widmer.
"This person who did this took absolutely no responsibility for what they did. [They] didn't try to contact help for this person [and] didn't try to help this person," Widmer told 9OYS.
Police are now searching for a light-colored Chevy Trailblazer. Widmer says the vehicle should have significant front-end damage.
Police are asking that anyone with information about this hit-and-run please call 911 or 88-CRIME.
