TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 6-year-old girl received a very special send-off Friday morning as she leaves Tucson for a vacation to Orlando, Fla.

Jolene Nichols is one of 37 children with life-threatening or serious medical conditions across the world who were selected by wish-granting organizations to go on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Orlando, Fla.

Jolene was chosen by the Dream Factory of Arizona.

The Dream Factory is one of several non-profit organizations selected by the Something mAAgic Foundation to participate in this event.

She will be there for six days, and all expenses are paid for by the foundation.

She received a special send-off Friday morning at the Tucson International Airport, complete with a Disney's Brave themed party at the American Airlines ticket counter.

Bagpipes played as she arrived and was crowned princess. Merida from the movie Brave was there to give her gifts and then Jolene got to sit in the cockpit of her plane.

She was then sent off with a water canon salute by the Tucson Fire Department.

Each child going on the trip gets their own themed party specific to their dream.
