Infant Motrin recalled, may contain plastic
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - About 200,000 bottles of Motrin Infants' Drops is being recalled after tiny plastic particles were discovered in a different lot during manufacturing.
The lot with the plastic was not released to the market, but the plastic particles came from a third party supplier.
The recall is for Concentrated Motrin Infants' Drops Original Berry Flavor, 1/2 fl oz bottles.
The plastic particles are about 1 millimeter in size, or about the size of a poppy seed.
The 1 fl oz size is not included in this recall.
Children's or Adult Motrin products are not included in the recall.
The McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division is asking retailers to removed the affected lots from store shelves and asking consumers to stop using and dispose of any product they may have in the recall.
