By Rikki Mitchell, Shelby Payne. CREATED Jul 19, 2014

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Five family members were injured in an accident involving a rolled Ford SUV closing I-10 eastbound at Ruthrauff.

Capt. Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire tells KGUN9 a 15-year-old girl is in critical condition after being ejected from the vehicle. A 22-year-old man is in critical condition and a 13-year-old girl and 18-year-old man have minor injuries. Their 50-year-old father is in serious, but stable condition.

The accident happened just before 3:00 p.m. Saturday on I-10 eastbound near Ruthrauff.

The accident left the SUV on its side. Goldberg says investigators had  to close down the freeway at Ruthrauff for part of the investigation.

He says the accident was caused by tire separation on the SUV.

The 15-year-old girl and 18-year-old man were not wearing their seatbelts. The 13-year-old girl was wearing her seatbelt and investigators don't know if the other two passengers were wearing their seatbelts.

The family was traveling from California to Mexico.

All lanes of I-10 eastbound are now open.
