CATALINA STATE PARK, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Golder Ranch Fire District and the Pima County Sheriff's Department are on scene at the Romero Pools for an injured hiker.

Battalion Chief Josh Hurguy with Golder Ranch Fire District tells KGUN9 that at approximately 9:30 a.m., dispatchers received a cell phone call from a party of three hikers, one of whom had injured their ankle.

Rescuers have a 17year-old female loaded in a special piece of equipment called a stokes litter, which is a basket with a large wheel attached to the bottom, and are in the process of bringing her out.

The patient is stable at this time, said Hurguy.
