Golder Ranch Fire recognized as non-profit of the year

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Golder Ranch Fire District received the Pinnacle Award as the non-profit of the year through the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Golder Ranch was up against five other non-profit organizations for the award.

Golder Ranch provides fire and emergency medical services to the majority of the Town of the Oro Valley.

Golder Ranch Fire Chief Randy Karrer said in a press release that this award is "representative of our Vision to be customer centered and making outstanding customer service our number one priority.  Congratulations to the entire Golder Ranch Fire District organization, I am so proud to lead this organization."

The other non-profits up for the award were Youth on Their Own, The Hearth Foundation, Tohono Chul Park, Tell me a Good Story and Catalina Community Services.

This is the third recognition for Golder Ranch Fire District this year. Chief Karrer was recognized as Fire Chief of the Year in July and they also received a certificate of achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.
