ORO VALLEY (KGUN9-TV) – Breast Cancer Survivors have a new free option thanks to an Oro Valley woman’s generosity.
Pamela Netz, a permanent cosmetic professional, does cosmetic tattooing on everything from eyebrows and cheeks to the areola.
In October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Netz is offering free tattooing of the areola to anyone who has had a mastectomy due to cancer.
Clients have been overjoyed with her generosity.
“When I told her that her service would be done free of charge,” Netz described a recent phone conversation with a client, “I thought we were disconnected, because there was a long pause in silence at which point I heard her crying.”
Karen Eves was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. Her doctor referred her to Netz and said she was a little reluctant to undergo one more procedure, but is happy she did.
“It made me feel as close to whole again,” said Eves.
