TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Facebook has taken down a U of A page devoted to showcasing drunk students at their worst, but it's not the only page on official's radar.
Officials with U of A's Alcohol Coalition told Nine On Your Side, their original complaint wasn't even about the page Facebook took down.
Instead, it was about another, similar page that's still live.
It's called UA Blackouts, and it shows students drunk, passed out, and throwing up.
The Coalition told us that page is what the now-deleted page "UA Dabs" looked like, and they hope "UA Blackouts" is the next one on the chopping block.
Criminal Attorney Mike Piccarreta told us it's not just in the student's best interest to have these pictures taken down, but also in Facebook's best interest.
He said some could argue that pictures where the subject doesn't know what's happening could potentially have legal implications.
"I think Facebook took the cautious approach, as there's no upside for them," Piccarreta said. "And, downside, if someone's photo is on there in a manor that they deem private, could subject them to at least initial liability."
We reached out to Facebook, and all they would tell us is that the page they took down "violated their community standards."
The Coalition told us they're happy with Facebook's move, but they hope UA Blackouts gets taken down as well, and also that their students would learn to help each other out in those embarrassing states, not take advantage of them.
