FDA looks into babies with "three genetic parents"

TUCSON-  Doctors could wipe out a list of incurable, inherited diseases. They say they'd do it using a controversial technique that takes the DNA from two women and one
 
The procedure - sometimes called "3 Parent IFV" lets doctors lift out the nucleus from a mother's egg and transplant it to a donor egg. Researchers tried it in monkeys and it worked.  

However, "3 Parent IVF"  is really not on the immediate horizon. This week, scientists told the FDA further experiments could take decades.
