TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Some soldiers will tell you the military's MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) actually stands for Meals Regurgitate to Eat, but the Armed Services are coming through with a whole new level of battlefield victuals now.
MRE's have been part of battlefield cuisine since World War One, but gone are the days of beans and salt pork. The change is the result of soldier feedback. The Bag-O-Food can last for more than 10-years and is now going gourmet with items like barbecue beef, taco pasta and seasoned black beans.
We taste tested Chicken and Dumplings.
