About three-fourths of parents will be controlling the consumption of their children’s Halloween candy, according to a 2013 consumer survey.
Is that the right move, though?
Sure, adults know better what is good for kids, but some criticize the candy rationing method. Some parents believe if a child is deprived of the opportunity to see himself as responsible, even with Halloween candy, they’ll have tougher time facing choices later in life.
