CBP helicopter crew, BP agents rescue sick migrant

SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Border Patrol agents, with help from an Office of Air and Marine (OAM) Blackhawk helicopter crew, rescued an illegal immigrant July 5 who had lost his way in the Huachuca Mountains.

According to a media release from Customs and Border Protection, the migrant who is a diabetic, called 911 for help.

Agents received information regarding an illegal alien in distress in Blacktail Canyon near Sierra Vista, Arizona.

Agents, well as the OAM helicopter crew, responded to the area.

The agents on the ground located the individual, he was quickly airlifted out of the canyon to an awaiting EMS team for transport to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center.
