Border Patrol seizes $1.5 million dope load

AJO, Ariz.(KGUN9-TV) – Border seizes over one million dollars of marijuana just west of Tucson.
Border Patrol agents seized a highly modified drug smuggling vehicle filled with 1,933 pounds of marijuana, according to the Public Affairs Office.
Friday morning, agents in the Ajo area responded to smuggling activity. They located a 2000 Toyota Tundra loaded with 90 bundles of dope. The truck was abandoned by smugglers and was hidden under a tarp.
The vehicle had no registration, no license plate and had been altered for cross-country travel and had the ability to transport heavy loads.The marijuana, worth over $1,500,000 will be turned over to the DEA.
