Arson detectives investigating house fire
Several people called 9-1-1 to report flames coming from a vacant home on Tucson's eastside Saturday night.
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Several people called 9-1-1 to report flames coming from a vacant home on Tucson's eastside Saturday night.
Residents living near a vacant home at 6212 E. Bellevue Street called 9-1-1 when they noticed flames inside the residence, according to Bat. Chief Patrick Quinn with the Tucson Fire Department.
The neighbors broke a window and extinguished the flames with a garden hose before firefighters got on scene, according to Quinn.
Arson investigators with the Tucson Police Department responded to investigate the cause of the fire. Neighbors told officers that vagrants frequently entered the vacant home.
The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
