By Stella Inger. CREATED Aug 18, 2014

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - All artists listen up. There could be a major new commission coming your way.

Tucson Medical Center is searching for someone to craft a mural that will inspire older patients at its new mental health center. It's set to open in January on the North Rosemont Boulevard campus.

The mural will span a wall that is a massive seven feet wide by 13 feet tall.

The artist will be fully compensated for all the supplies that go into creating the work. The center says it wants a piece that focuses on a message of hope.

The deadline for selection is August 31-st with actual work on the mural to start in mid-September.

Rules to apply :

1. Discussion of previous work and how it would inform this project

2.  A vision for the proposed space and what approach would be taken to the work

3.  An example of working with projects that have high sensitivity and
how this experience would inform the project

4.  Any knowledge of the population served (Older Adults) and how this
would affect the project

5. Your ability to meet the Oct. 31 expected deadline of the project

Submit the information to rhonda.bodfield@tmcaz.com
