TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Mr. Stubbs is an alligator from Scottsdale.
Stubbs has lived most of his life tail-less. He learned to swim by doggie paddling at the Phoenix Herpetological Society.
Then science stepped in with an idea: Build him a tail...a bionic-gator.
And now, Stubbs is one part reptile and one part rubber.
Now, Stubbs is the star of a new PBS special that documents how he learned to live with his new tail.
The Stubbs-starring show is called "My bionic pet" and it airs next Wednesday on PBS.
I'm Stella Inger. I hope you'll join Guy Atchley and me tonight at 5, 6, and 10.
Have a great day and a fun weekend!
