ATF offering reward for gun theft in Willcox
WILLCOX, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities are hoping a monetary reward will lead to finding more than a dozen firearms stolen from a southern Arizona gun store.
The Cochise County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday a $5,000 reward for information leading the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the theft of 19 guns from Apache Arms in Willcox.
The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is also contributing some of the money.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office, someone broke into the store sometime between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sept. 11. The suspect took 13 handguns, four rifles and two shotguns.
Apache Arms is a federally licensed gun dealer.
Authorities are asking anyone with information related to the burglary to contact ATF.
