TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it aliens? We'll go with aliens. Just kidding.
Questions have been pouring in, ever since Tucsonans spotted those bright, red orbs in the sky.
Tonight, it's mystery solved!
We received video of these lights from Bob Hoffman.
He shot this from his east side home as the lights rose up over the Rincon Mountains around 7 Thanksgiving night.
We posted this on our Facebook page, and your guesses were all over the place.
Judy guessed, "Probably drones from Davis Monthan".
Judith said, "Rudolph the red nosed reindeer try outs".
Javier guessed, "THE CHUPACABRAS".
Thank you, Javier.
After much anxiety, we have the answer, also courtesy of Facebook.
Turns out, they were Chinese lanterns released by Jenna Callahan and her family for Thanksgiving.
We spoke to Jenna earlier. She finds the whole thing funny and says she never expected their family festivities would make the news.
