3 children hurt when struck by car in Phoenix area
BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Two young brothers and another child waiting for a school bus suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning when they were struck by a car on the far western outskirts of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office initially said the three children suffered injuries that initial reports indicated were life-threatening, but a spokesman said later that the children weren't seriously hurt.
The Sheriff's Office says the injured children were among five children waiting for their bus when the three were struck by a car driven by an 18-year-old Buckeye woman.
Deputy Joaquin Enriquez says the three injured children are ages 13, 6 and 7 and are all related.
