TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A 10-year-old Tucson boy was nearly snatched off the streets on his way to school.
Pima County sheriff's deputies say it happened just after 7 a.m. Tuesday near Thornydale Elementary on the northwest side.
The boy told police a man began following him and tried to grab him.
"That's when he started to run," said Deputy Courtney Rodriguez. "He looked back once to see the suspect jogging after him."
That suspect, say authorities, is described as Hispanic.
They say he is 19 to 20 years old, 5 feet tall with an average build.
He was wearing black sunglasses and a navajo striped blue jacket.
