Two bitten by rattlesnakes in separate incidents

MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Northwest Fire crews responded to two separate incidents Sunday where someone was bit by a rattlesnake.
Capt. Adam Goldberg with Northwest Fire tells KGUN9 the first incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. near Cortaro and I-10 where a 23-year-old man was bitten on the calf while riding a mountain bike.
He was taken to UAMC for treatment where he is in stable condition.
The second bite happened just before Noon near Camino de Oeste and Ironwood Hills where a 68-year-old man was bitten on the toe while working in his backyard. Goldberg says the man was wearing sandals.
He was also taken to UAMC where he is in stable condition.
Northwest Fire is reminding the public to be aware of rattlesnakes while outside.
