TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson police have identified the skeletal remains found in May 2012, but still need help discovering the circumstances that lead to the death of 51-year-old Christopher Mazzarella.

Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD tells KGUN9 that in 2012, officers were called to the Deanza Drive Inn Theatre located at 1401 South Alvernon regarding bones that had been found by construction workers.

Skeletal remains were unearthed while construction work was being done on the property.

Homicide Detectives and the Pima County Medical Examiners Office responded to the scene to recover the bones, said Widmer.

The manner in which Mazzarella died still remains under investigation. Anyone with information about his death is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
