UAPD investigating armed robbery on campus
Lion Loustaunau-Lopez has been arrested and charged with one count of armed robbery.
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Lion Loustaunau-Lopez, 18, and David Crim, 19, have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery on campus.
Sgt. Filbert Barrera with UAPD tells KGUN9 that on June 29, an armed robbery occurred near 2nd Street and Cherry Avenue.
The victim, not affiliated with the University of Arizona, was at an off campus event and departed in the suspect vehicle described as a silver Ford Explorer with three unknown males suspects.
The vehicle drove to campus where the victim was subsequently robbed of his personal property. The victim received minor injuries.
On July 9, 2013, detectives arrested Loustaunau-Lopez in connection with the armed robbery.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Crim on July 10.
All three suspects have been identified and the investigation determined these two suspects were responsible for the robbery, said Barrera.
