4-year-old with matches starts mobile home fire
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Firefighters responded to a mobile home park Thursday after a 4-year-old boy playing with matches set the family's car on fire.
Capt. Barrett Baker with TFD tells KGUN9 that the park is at Campbell Avenue and Wyoming and started when the boy was playing with matches.
The boy went into the home to tell his mother he had burnt himself, and when she looked outside, the car was on fire.
Baker says the fire spread to the home, and it is considered a total loss.
The boy has a minor burn to his finger.
Red Cross is on scene to assist the three people displaced by the fire. Damage is estimated at $60,000.
