Police: Man shot in leg during overnight shooting

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man suffered a gunshot wound to the leg after a shooting in a townhouse parking lot.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police tells KGUN9 that officers received a 911 call for a shooting in the 3200 block of East Seneca around 1:53 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local area hospital, said Widmer.
Early reports indicate there was some sort of confrontation between an an armed security guard and a person in the parking lot. Shot were fired between the two of them.
"I was actually sitting by the basketball court and then I heard it," Kassandra Rodriguez, who lives in the complex told 9OYS.
"Right when I heard the gunshot we ran inside. I was like run," she continued.
Police confirm the security guard works for Valley Protective Services, a private security company. Nine On Your Side called their Tucson office but a manager declined comment.
Detectives are still trying to determine what prompted the shooting, said Widmer.
No arrests have been made in connection with this shooting.
