TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Police are investigating a crime scene after finding a deceased man with obvious signs of trauma.
Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department tells KGUN9 that someone found the man at a trailer park in the 300 block of East Pastime Road.
From the outside, all that looks out of place is the police tape.
But just inside the door, a scene too gruesome for us to show.
For the past week, neighbors tell us flies were corralled around the windows, and a horrible smell was lingering all around the home.
At 8 a.m. this morning, two men finally investigated.
"The neighbors did make entry, and found a diseased body inside the trailer," Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department told Nine On Your Side.
Police tell us there were obvious signs of trauma.
"This individual in the trailer appears to be an adult male, Hispanic, and appears to have been here for one week, possibly longer."
Police are treating this case as a homicide, only telling us the circumstances are suspicious.
Neighbors who didn't feel comfortable going on camera said they've seen the man who lived there, but not very often.
They say he may have two children, and think he's in his early twenties.
However, police are waiting for an autopsy before they release any further details.
"We don't know exactly what happened to him, just because of the decomposition of the body. So, we don't want to make any assumptions off what we see until we know for sure."
If you have any information about this incident, police are asking that you call 9-1-1 or 88-CRIME.
