TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Crews with Tucson Electric Power are responding to a power outage that is affecting more than 1,000 people.
Joseph Barrios with TEP tells KGUN9 that roughly 1,300 people are without power northwest of the University of Arizona.
But according to Barrios, the University of Arizona Medical Center is not being affected by the outage.
The outage started at around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, and crews are currently assessing the equipment at a nearby substation to determine the cause of the outage.
Barrios says crews are working to restore the power as quickly as possible, Barrios says.
