ATF confirms bomb found underneath car on northwest side

MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Authorities confirmed Tuesday that the suspicious device found underneath a car on the northwest side was a bomb.
Officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tell 9OYS the device was an improvised explosive device. It was found underneath a car Sunday in the Hooters restaurant parking lot on Camino Martin Road.
Police received the call at 4:15 p.m. after a man walked out of the Hooters restaurant to his car. He found what appeared to be a suspicious device and contacted Marana Police.
ATF was called to assist the Pima County Regional Bomb Squad and Marana Police with the investigation.
Police evacuated 200 people from Hooters and nearby Bedroxx Bowling while they investigated the device.
Evidence collected at the scene will be sent to a federal lab to be processed.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
