TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Pima County deputies identified the man killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday.
Deputy Jesus Banuelos with the Pima County Sheriff's Department says 66-year-old Edward Rexford Mills VI died following a single-vehicle motorcycle accident that occurred at around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday near Contractors Way and Illinois Street.
Mills was riding a motorcycle, traveling northbound on Contractors Way, when he hit a retaining wall, Banuelos said.
Witnesses called 9-1-1 and emergency crews from the Rural/Metro Fire Department responded to the scene, according to Banuelos.
Crews transported the man to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, Banuelos said.
Banuelos tells KGUN9 that Mills was not wearing a helmet.
Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
