Marana wife, accused of killing husband, appears in court; family stands by her

PIMA COUNTY (KGUN9-TV) - A Marana man is dead, and his wife is behind bars.
Marana police say 57-year-old Toni Marie Mayfield is charged with second degree murder, in the death of her 59-year-old husband Jerry.
Friday night, she appeared before a judge.
Her son, daughter-in-law and sister, all here in support of her tonight.
Mayfield appeared disheveled and dazed, speaking very little.
This after Marana PD say they responded to her home just west of Twin Peaks and I-10 Thursday night.
There, they found her husband dead.
Police are not saying how he died or what they believe may have happened
Public records show no history of domestic violence between the two.
Toni mayfield is being held on $250,000 bond.
She Is due back in court Tuesday, May 28th at 1:30.
Her family declined to speak to us.
