Former TPD officer tied to child porn investigation pleads guilty
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A former Tucson Police Officer arrested on charges of child pornography, pleaded guilty Monday in a Pima County courtroom.
Martin Ward pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree.
He will be sentenced in September. He faces up 15 years in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender.
Ward was arrested by U.S. Marshals in May. The 29-year-old was originally charged with ten counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to police, Ward is part of an online child pornography sharing investigation.
Investigators seized dozens of computers, cameras and hard drives from his southeast side home as part of a massive search.
