Deputies looking for man who left scene of deadly hit and run
PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies are looking for a 27-year-old man who they say was the driver of a deadly hit and run accident in 2011.
Deputy Jesus Banuelos with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that Reyes Jovan Miranda is wanted for manslaughter as a result of an investigation into the accident.
On June 23, 2011 deputies responded to the 2300 block of west Drexel Road where they found a 2002 Jaguar that had hit a tree and was off the roadway.
Deputies found one man lying a few feet away and provided first aid. Another man was found trapped inside the car and was pronounced dead on the scene.
An investigation showed that there were three people in the car at the time, but the driver had fled the scene. Deputies believe Miranda was the driver.
Authorities have been unable to locate Miranda and believe he is living in Mexico.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
