TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Fire crews responded to a semi-truck fire Wednesday.

Capt. Barrett Baker with TFD tells KGUN9 that a semi-truck was backed into Tucson Food Service at 810 E. 17th St. when it caught fire.

The driver tried to use an extinguisher to put out the flames but was unsuccessful.

Crews managed to keep the fire from spreading to the building but there was damage to the exterior.

Eight units and 21 firefighters were dispatched and had the fire under control within 11 minutes.

No one was injured but the semi-truck was destroyed by the fire.

Damages are estimated at $205,000, and the cause was deemed accidental.
