Medical marijuana research now legal at Arizona universities

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - It is now legal to study the effects of getting high on Arizona's higher education campuses.

Gov. Jan Brewer signed a bill allowing state schools to research medical marijuana.

This comes just a year after she signed a different bill banning such research.

One University of Arizona researcher will now be able to study whether pot helps veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Arizona voters made medical marijuana legal in 2010.
