Police arrest 3 for trafficking stolen gold
Police arrested Anzhela Maksumova, Albert Gavrielov and Moshe Biniaminov in connection with local businesses selling stolen gold.
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police have arrested three people in connection with local businesses that were selling stolen gold and other precious metals.
Sgt. Chris Wimder with TPD tells KGUN9 that two businesses, Gold Time Now and Cash Express are the subjects of an investigation by the Property Trafficking Unit showing individuals were buying stolen gold.
Three people were arrested as a result of the investigation. Albert Gavrielov, 33, Anzhela Maksumova, 34 and Moshe Biniaminov, 36 were all arrested and charged with trafficking of stolen property.
Search warrants were served at several locations, including a home in the 4100 block of E. Stone River Dr., a Gold Time Now location at 4881 E. Speedway Blvd., a Cash Express location at 4202 E. Speedway Blvd and a City Wide Auto Sales at 2865 N. Oracle Rd.
Detectives seized a large amount of gold, silver, diamonds, jewelry, cash and electronic between the two businesses.
Police estimate the value of the stolen goods to be in the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
All three people arrested were booked into the Pima County Jail.
