TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Welcome home signs, a pretty big waiting party and airport police -- all of this for a cat that has clearly made some bad decisions.
The happy homecoming is 10 months in the making. Nearly a year ago, Ace the cat went missing from his Tucson home only to mysteriously show up at a Wisconsin Humane Society.
Turns out, Ace has been doing some traveling and he continued his travels, Thursday.
Southwest Airlines officials offered to fly the feline home for free. Flight attendents snapped pictures with the now notorious wanderer along the way.
"If he tries to get away again, I have a leash and I'll do this if I have to," Owner Joanne Ferguson told 9OYS as she held up a tiny pair of handcuffs.
Healthy, with not a scratch on him, it is an incredible ending to an incredible journey.
