TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Carol Galati says she was watching TV about half past midnight, when two men broke in, put a gun to her head, and told her to open the safe.
"I wasn't afraid while they were here," said Galati. "I was just mad."
Mad enough to mouth-off to men willing to beat her. She says that didn't work them up too much.
"Except when I called them dumb [expletive]," she said. "And then? I don't know if he hit me with a gun, he hit me with his fist. I don't know what he hit me with."
They wanted to get into her safe, but it's basically empty, and so hard to open, even Carol couldn't open it.
They grabbed her wallet, snatched jewelry off her neck and stole her car.
Galati says police arrived right away. She told them about her car, and they found it and the men at a gas station on Pantano and Golf Links, where they went to get gas and got arrested instead.
