TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Mary MacGregor-Wolfe, 51, died as a result of a rollover collision after fleeing for Pima County Sheriff Deputies after a traffic stop.
Deputy Tom Peine tells KGUN9 that on April 9, deputies received a 9-1-1 call about a suspicious dark sports car with a female driver parked in the 4800 block of North Calle Tobosa.
Deputies responded and found a vehicle matching the description nearby in the 4700 block of North Supai Place.
When they made contact with the driver, MacGregor-Wolfe, deputies discovered that her driver's license was suspended and the license plate on the car had been reported stolen.
As the deputy was going back to the car to make contact with MacGregor-Wolfe, she left from
the traffic stop at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was not actively pursued, said Peine.
While checking the surrounding area for the vehicle, deputies noticed a dust cloud rising near Snyder Road and City View Drive.
When they approached the location, they found the Nissan had crashed off the roadway and rolled over on the north side of Snyder Road.
MacGregor-Wolfe was found partially ejected from the car. She was declared deceased at the scene.
The investigation continues by deputies.
