Fire crews battle brush fire

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Fire crews battled a brush fire Friday that endangered three structures in the La Cholla Air Park.
Capt. Josh Hurguy with the Golder Ranch Fire District tells KGUN9 that sparks from a welder caused the three-acre brush fire, that moved quickly through buffel grass.
Firefighters from Golder Ranch and Northwest Fire quickly surrounded the fire and ensured that residential structures did not burn.
Crews used fire engines, brush engines and water tenders to quickly get the fire under control.
Golder Ranch would like to remind everyone to closely watch any burning material like cigarettes, camp fires and welders as the hot and dry summer months approach.
More information and safety tips can be found on the Golder Ranch Fire District website.
