TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A motorcyclist left on the side of the road for dead. Now, his wife is pleading for the public's help in finding that hit and run driver.
Jennifer Nunn said someone crashed into her husband, Steve, early last Thursday morning. It happened near Shannon Road and Cactus Canyon Path. Pima County Sheriff's Deputies tell us the car is a silver four door sedan with circular headlights.
Jennifer said the impact sent Steve flying 30 feet in the air. He suffered a number of serious injuries. The active scout leader is overcoming new obstacles everyday, like holding his own glass of water.
Just knowing who hit Steve, might help him push through the recovery that lies ahead.
"I'm disappointed in this human that they haven't stepped up to their responsibility for it," Jennifer said. "They could have just stopped and that would have just been a traffic incident. I mean, I get that things happen, people sometimes just miss something or didn't see something but leaving the scene is not OK."
Jennifer said her husband is a kind and caring person who loves his community. If you needed help, he'd be the first to step in.
If you know anything about this crash that might help authorities find the hit and run driver, call 911 or 88-CRIME.
