1. BISBEE CIVIL UNIONS VOTE
The Bisbee City Council is expected to vote today on an ordinance supporting the rights of ever person to enter a lasting relationship with a partner.... regardless of sexual orientation.
2. JODI ARIAS MISTRIAL
Jodi Arias' defense attorneys are seeking to claim a mistrial. They say that juror misconduct has made her current trial unconstitutional. Testimony in the trial will resume this morning.
3. LOUIS TAYLOR RELEASE
Louis Taylor, the man convicted in setting the 1970 Pioneer Hotel Fire, will be released as part of a deal with prosecutors that forces him to plead no contest in the case. Taylor was sentenced to 28 consecutive life sentences. (full story)
4. NRA ANNOUNCEMENT
The National Rifle Association will unveil the results of its school safety initiative today. They'll present a report on how they believe schools can prevent future gun violence
5. IMMIGRATION VISAS
The Department of Homeland Security will release the coveted skilled-worker visas beginning today. For the first time since the start of the financial crisis, American employers are set to reach the limit within just days. (full story)
