TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police arrested one of three suspects involved in a murder earlier this month.

Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD tells KGUN9 that an arrest warrant was obtained for 36-year-old Cassandra Salaz for first degree murder, and she was located by police Thursday at a motel near West 22nd Street and Interstate 10.

She was booked into jail for one count of first degree murder.

Detectives determined that Salaz, along with two other people, entered a home in the 2000 block of South Campbell Avenue on March 11and had a confrontation with one of the residents at that home.

One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot 41-year-old Juan Barrios, who later died at the hospital.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
