TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A vehicle flipped over a guardrail and into the median near I-10 and Ruthrauff, causing traffic delays.
Emergency medical personnel responded to Sunset and I-10, near Ruthrauff Road, just before 4:45 p.m. Sunday after a vehicle flipped over a guardrail, according to Capt. Adam Goldberg with the Northwest Fire District.
Goldberg tells KGUN9 that the single-vehicle accident attracted curious drivers and caused slowing in both the east and westbound lanes, but the accident wasn't actually blocking traffic.
Before the accident, the driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old woman, was headed westbound and it is unclear at this time why she hit the guardrail, according to Goldberg.
Goldberg says she suffered minor injuries and did not need to be transported to the hospital, despite the significant damage to the vehicle.
The woman was wearing her seatbelt, according to Goldberg.
