Arrests pending in Douglas burglary

DOUGLAS, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Cochise County Sheriff's Department is close to making arrests in a Douglas burglary case.
Cochise County Public Information Officer Carol Capas tells KGUN9 that on March 7, deputies were advised of a residential burglary that had occurred sometime between March 6 and March 7, in the 200 block of West Pirtle Avenue, west of Douglas.
The homeowner advised that unknown subjects used a pry bar to force entry into the home through the front wrought iron door and front wooden door, Capas said. The homeowner also advised that several items were taken to include multiple firearms (handguns and shotguns), electronics and jewelry.
Along with the Douglas Police Department, deputies were able to identify possible suspects and locate an address in Douglas where the property may be stored.
On March 8, deputies obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 600 block of east 6th Street.
SWAT secured the residence and served the warrant, Capas said.
Deputies advised that the property reported in the Pirtle Avenue burglary was recovered at the residence on 6th Street.
The investigation continues and arrests in this case are pending.
